of people of all colors coming together

fighting for what’s right – what’s due.

No one told me of the pain

The grieving for brothers i didn’t know

Sisters that were ignored by all

No one told me about how the black body 

would revolt,

leading its own revolution inside.

fighting to breathe

fighting to live

peacefully, without the threat of injustice.

Even miles away we grieve.

This is a feeling never forgotten

never avenged.
